We are getting ready to kick off our 2nd Annual Food Drive! Last year was our first time pulling our resources together to help the Thurston County Food Bank. It was a fun and rewarding experience that we intend to kick into a high gear this time. We hope people from our larger community will join with the residents and staff of Panorama in replenishing the shelves at the food bank by participating in one or all of the following events:
Pat is one of our beloved Retirement Advisors, as well as a resident here at Panorama. His personal electric car will be parked in front of Pan Hall on this day just waiting to be filled with donations of non-perishable food items
Bring school supplies and fill the backpacks located in the Lobby of the Convalescent Center to help local children prepare for the new school year.
Tuesday, September 4th – Fill the Pool!
Come to Aquatic Center and fill the kiddy pool with your donation of non-perishable food items.
Cash donations go a long way at the food bank. Stop by the Reception Desk in Pan Hall and help fill the piggy bank!
Food barrels will also be set up at several locations throughout the Panorama campus for the duration of the drive August 27th – September 14th. We hope you will join us!

“Facebook’s mission is to give people the power to share and make the world more open and connected.”
Millions of people around the world are using Facebook everyday to stay in touch with family and friends, while others are using it to reconnect. Some are using Facebook as a networking medium to spread the word about their group or business. But what could this mean for you?
We invite you to join Panorama residents in learning about what Facebook is and how to use it in connecting with the people you care about. An informational seminar will be held in the Panorama Auditorium on Wednesday, August 8th. 10:00 AM – 11 :30 AM. We hope to see you there!
To register for the seminar, visit blog.panorama.org or call (360) 456-0111.
Residents started the month off right with a trip to Mt. Rainier on the 1st. The trip included a gondola ride from Crystal Mountain Ski Resort to The Summit House for lunch. The group enjoyed breathtaking views of Mt. Rainier and the Cascade Range.
This trip was so popular that it filled up immediately and gathered a large waiting list! The tremendous response inspired a round two. Later this month, another group of residents will get to enjoy the same trip.
